Perfect & Gotta Get Away..

So have you been going on the Holt Renfrew website and seeing this little splash come up on your screen and leave you in a total awe???.. Well i have been in touch with holt's p.r's and this is the location and dates of the Holt Renfrew Contemporary Pop Up Shop i have gotten word that this thing is amazing.. One of Holt's buyers exclaimed to me that this is like nothing that he has ever seen before.. So im assuming that this is going to be good!!

The location should be good! It is where the fashion house is on King St. or if you were recently at the American Apparel rummage sale, it is at that location.. Hopefully a different part of the building though because it was kind of smelly, stuffy and awkward down there.. I guess that is what rummagers.. rummage in haha..

So anyways, make sure you check it out! I have a feeling this will be an amazing event brought on by Holt's..

The very amazing Stockholm founded collection seriously put it together again for me.. I always love what the house of Acne has to put out for us to see, feel, touch & obviously wear.. I find myself captivated by the flow & proportion of a lot of the pieces.. Oh and definitely can not forget the color.. I love the loose fit pants & then i obsess over the fitted pants.. The colors of them as well are a major plus for me.. I often find myself a little discouraged by wearing clothes that fit a bit larger because of proportion but in this case i love how they paired certain larger looking things with a layer under to give it not only the perfect proportion but an the perfect enhanced look.. What i mean by this is that i like how under the black denim jacket there is a shirt with sleeves holding up the jacket to help keep the look as oppose to having to roll up your sleeves or in some cases fix the elastic holding them up... Its little things like that that really grab my attention..



The colors are an ahh.. I love the softness of the pinks and how it all looks like sherbert ice-cream... I think that a grande amount of clothing with these colors makes me hungry half the times so wearing them may be a plus for those in need of a new dietary plan haha.. No but really they are really nice.. Another thing i find great about the outfits are the way that they blended the colors.. two blocks with a cool print on a shirt never looked so good!!



I also enjoy how Acne is willing to be daring.. And how they manage to make it look so good.. I guess the saying would be.. Daring has never looked so good?.. Actually i take it all back.. Lets try simplifying.. As we know in todays world, sometimes less is more but in many cases less is worse.. I love how Acne removed the collar & lapels off of the blazer and gave it such a clean look.. I personally would love to rock one of these blazers maybe with a nice collared button up under & then i would pop the collar over the "lack of collar" of the blazer haha and give it that whole Chanel vibe but for a male !!!.. WOO just got some inspiration there haha... In other news (lol) i am seriously digging the cropped denim jacket with the larger shirt under.. HELUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU i dont know how long ive been doing that with my denim/leather jacket & this shirt my dad scored @ honest eds a while ago for.. but come on.. give me some credit here haha.. & this is why i need to start posting pictures of my outfits.. LOOKBOOOK haha.. no but really this is so dope i could just stare at it all day.. but then i would have to go buy it!!! CTRL !! CTRLLL !!..

So I'm here with Julio @ the American Apparel rummage sale and you guessed it!!!
Were rummaging.. Rummaging like there's no tomorrow!! There's kiddies straight out of school or day camp, and adults about to hit their midlife crisis in the american apparel matte tights.. Girls are attacking the aa staff like its justin bieber at your local new jersey mall...



I find the selection to be very limited.. You will be hesitant on purchasing because of size or defect BUT.. If there is a defect the size bigger than a loonie or a toonie, you get an extra 50 percent off your purchase...Ok & so they totoally just played my track DO IT AGAIN right now here so I feel so surreal & like I am a professional rummage-er now haha..

Its still pandemonium & I feel a sense of sadness for everyone who had to and is waiting in that line up outside.. Ahemm you know how I do.. I get escorted from the secret ... But not so secret entrance (ask me and ill tell you) haha..

But overall it is hard to find something that fits size, color, proportion.. This and that.. But overall its a great sale and you won't leave empty handed... Although I find myself only picking up one thing.. ** this black denim Jacket with an original price tag of $110 on sale here for $20** I can't really complain... One is enough for me.. I advise you people because yes.. You do have to look.. Looking is the only way to get er' done and really the only way that you will find what your looking for or will be happy with (hellllo though... DUHHH!! Hahaha)



Yes I know I did leave with one thing and I'm happy with it.. I didn't try to buy to make up for previous lost purchases but I am happy haha... With my one little well XL jacket haha.. One was enough for me..

I never complain about H&M.. and i dont feel that im going to have to right now..
I will simply make an inquiry.. An inquiry on the choice of color for the
Spring/Summer 2010 collection.... Im not sayin there isnt any color,
but im just saying that a bit more would of been more fun... It fells a bit
Fallish to me if antyhing..



Aside from that i do seem to find myself a little bit captivated by the
droppy, draping, falling & flailing fabrics used here.. I know i just complained
about them, but for what it is.. The colors are very nice.. I love the harem pants
and the batwing styled tops..



I carefully examined each picture to see if there was a possible purchase for me..
YES.. if you didnt know... which i highly doubt you didnt.. I shop womens..
PERSONALLY i dont feel you can judge who gets to do what with what in fashion..
Fashion is for everyone the same way love is for everyone, art is for everyone
life is for everyone.. So one should not be judged or labelled because of what side
of the store they shop on, but more on how they portray themselves in their clothing.




SEE!! i rambled on again..
greatt.. lol....
But overall.. I feel there is pop of color, but i think blocks of color
could of been so much more effective..
especially with the type of shapes & patterns
used in the clothing..
I cant wait to see this & especially SONIA RYKIEL
in the flesh....

How do YOU feel about
H&M's S/S 2010 collection??

The pathway to heaven was guraded by to masculine fellows,
a perky woman guarding the gifts & a crowd that seemed to be
in sync with the idea of Gabrielle "CoCo" Chanel.



People strutted amongst the tight knit group of about 20-30 in their
all black ensembles waiting for the photographer to kiss them with the lens.
I didnt mind either haha.. I got my little snap shot once i walked in..

I always love going to events knowing that Marissa & Nolan are going to be there
because if they were i a) would be lonley b) would probably not go
& c) just be BORED.. but in this case im pretty sure the CASES & CASES of
CHANEL No'5 & what not would have kept me company.



Overall it was a cute small event that i obivously enjoyed attending
or else i wouldnt of even bothered.. People got there makeup done
& got to smell some of the most beautiful things their nostrils have ever
sniffed..

There will be a custmoer event going on in a week or so @ Holt Renfrew
for everyone else to do there biddings upon Chanel.. December 2nd to 6th
so check it out!!!

Oh yes.. & Special thanks to the crew at Holt Renfrew.. Michelle, Kelly
& the rest of you all for making it possible for me to attend on such short notice

Its times and beauties like this that make me question designers..

Once thing i love love love to see on a runway is genuinely positive energy.. When you know its actually going to be fun.. And i know Sonia isnt doing any BJ cartwheels down the runway but its ok because i think i love whats going on here!! haha.. I love when fashion comes to those who least expect it.. In Sonia's case it all started in 1962... She just couldn't find any soft sweaters to wear when she was pregnant. So she used a supplier to her husband from Venice to design her own... And voila.. 40 years later she is still making things that have more character then the bugs bunny & tweety show!!


Now i am sure the vast majority of you know or dont know that Sonia Rykeil is
now going to be the next heir to the very embraced H&M designer team up and now take
where Jimmy choo left off..

I understand she is only to be making lingerie and knits which sounds good and
what not.. but after i saw these sequence pieces i couldnt have it!! As you all know
i am a sequin fiend and have a sick obsession with things like such.. But the sad
thing is that to this day i do not own one thing which is sequin.. I put a lot of
blame on the Canadian buyer/shopper & market on this because they fear that men
will not want to take their sense of fashion to this next step,
that maybe it may be to flamboyant or un-suiting to the events, situations,
get-togethers, parties, this and/or that which the Canadian man's life may entail.



Hey.. no offense but that is just me.. They only carry certain things at certain
stores in certain locations because they dont "feel that it will sell, or will
sell easier" if position properly.. WHATEVER!! Gucci, Valentino & Alexander Wang
deserve to be spread to everyone, & for everyone to enjoy!!..


Anyways look i went off topic again.. But back to where i was!! YESSS.. i do not want to have let an excellent designer like Sonia Rykiel, dim down or limit herself and her designers to a certain market or style when she teams up with H&M.. I want to get as much Sonia Rykiel as possible.. I already missed the boat with the Jimmy Choo triple buckle boots and i dont intend on missing anything else .. EVER!! haha..



The reason why i am so passionate about Sonia Rykiel expanding her collection for H&M is because, when i see fun thins like this crazy, funky, insanley cool hairy top it gives me such a thrill.. And unfortunately i can only experience this thrill via a computer screen.. I know not everyone could have the state of mind to want this or feel they have the ability to pull this off.. But the truth is.. They do & they can!! People just need to give more things a chance.. Everyone says it.. and now im giving into the typical & cheesy cliche that.. You can do whatever you want it you put your mind & sense of style to it!! lol... So yes.. lets just hope that Sonia Rykiel reads this and acknowledges that there are those whom want more then just something to sleep in!! haha.. I joke.. whatever she may be doing can not wait!!
